Over 12 years. He has worked before at IMMMA Advocates and latter with Deloitte & Touche (East Africa) as senior Legal Advisor.

Fields of Practice
Advisory and handling disputes related to corporate tax, VAT, international taxation, customs and employment. Ayoub is also specialized in company law in areas such as formation of business entities, winding up/liquidation of companies, restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, company secretarial and general compliance. He is also handling banking issues such as creation of security documents, syndicated loans, recovery of bad debts, receiverships and advisory.

Ayoub has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of investments. He has particulaly assisted clients in establishing investments in Tanzania, application of investment incentives from Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) venture and settlement of investment disputes. He is also involved in creation and review of various contracts, due diligence and feasibility studies. Ayoub is also involved in litigation, mediation and arbitration. He is handling disputes on different areas such as taxation, employment, immigration, insurance and all other commercial transactions.

Dr. Mwakaje has over 13 years of experience in handling contentious and non-contentious legal matters, research, and advisory services. He has previously been a partner at Abenry & Co. Advocates, on several occasions he has served as a consultant to various government departments, Non-Governmental Organizations, and the private sector generally.
He has also served as a consultant to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), United Nations Commission for Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO).

Fields of practice
Research and commercial transactions relating to intellectual property rights and litigation; M&A, project management, investments, insurance, and regulatory and compliance aspects for telecommunication and ICT industry. Dr. Mwakaje is a specialist in intellectual property and investment law. He advises clients on the acquisition, maintenance, and management of intellectual property rights; acquisition of certificates of investment incentives, and regulation of capital market and securities, telecom and energy related investments/companies. Dr. Mwakaje also specializes in devising and advising on the appropriate strategies for the management of investments in Tanzania .

Dr. Mwakaje has extensive experience in researching and litigating commercial, intellectual property, and investment disputes in various fora in Tanzania.

Nuhu is also a specialist in employment, immigration, and social security matters. He has prepared opinions, contracts, HR manuals, rules and regulations for various entities, and has prosecuted and /defended numerous cases in various fora in those areas.

Prior to joining NexLaw Advocates Ms. Upendo worked with M.A. Ismail & Co. Advocates where she was exposed to various areas of law and practice. She was involved in drafting legal documents and opining to various clients on various areas of law including, labour, insurance, immigration and company laws.

Fields of practice
Ms. Upendo specializes in immigration law on matters relating to work permits, residence permits, visas for non citizens, handling of labour appeals, immigration appeals and advisory. Upendo also handles commercial transaction on insurance, company compliance, general litigation, contract management, Probate and Administration issues, Arbitration and mediation.

As the Advocate at NexLaw Advocates she is also involved on matters of incorporation of Trusts, NGO’s and Societies. In addition she has handled various investigations and subsequent anti - counterfeit raid operations in collaboration with the Fair competition Commission (FCC).

Fields of practice
Fabiola Damas is a Legal Officer at NexLaw Advocates. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from Open University of Tanzania (OUT) and a Certificate in Law from the University of Dar es Salaam. Fabiola attended a comprehensive training on Intellectual Property Rights and Business Competitiveness organized by TCCIA, UN Volunteers and NexLaw Advocates.

Prior to becoming a Legal Officer Fabiola was working as an Office Manager at NexLaw Advocates and was responsible for the day to day running of the office, registry matters, logistics and organization of the office, registration of companies, lease agreements, trademarks with relevant authorities both in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar. She is also involved in processing Business Licenses., as a Legal Officer Fabiola is working on matters relating to Companies, Real Estate, and Dispute resolution.

Robert Ruben is an Associate/Advocate at NexLaw Advocates. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B Hons.) from the University of Dar es Salaam.

He joined NexLaw Advocates in 2014. Mr. Robert is working  in a litigation department and also on immigration matters, labour, Social Securities, International Trade and Banking.

Mr. Ruben has assisted various clients in obtaining work permits., police clearances and other matters relating to immigration issues, he has served the following companies in relation to immigration matters Deloitte SA, Deloitte Tanzania, Pyrethrum Company of Tanzania Limited, Yara Tanzania Limited, Tanzania Breweries Limited, Serengeti Breweries Limited, Alios Finance Tanzania Limited, ActionAid Tanzania, KPMG Tanzania, Bata Tanzania Limited, Hass Petroleum Limited and Future Group.
 
He is also exposed to other areas like company registrations, searches in various registries and processing of various residence permits of all categories in Tanzania.  Mr. Robert’s interest is in International Trade and Finance, Social Securities, Banking and Finance and Immigration laws.

David is an Accountant at NexLaw Advocates. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) and is a member of The National Board of Accountants and Auditors. He is responsible for all issues related to Finance at NexLaw Advocates.

He has exposure and experience in various areas of accounting and tax issues and responsible for maintaining accurate and updated records of the company’s financial activity which includes bank records, tax preparations, tax filings, payroll records, purchase and sale records, budget preparations and regulatory filings.
 

Medrack is responsible for providing general administrative assistance to the firm, whereas makes the day to day operations of the firm comforatable by filling documents in court registries on time, file clients compliance paper works in relevant registries on time e.t.c.

Elizabeth Dominick is a legal officer at NexLaw Advocates. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from Tumaini University Makumira (TUMa) and a Diploma in laws from the Institute of Judicial Administration (IJA) and she is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law School of Tanzania.

Elizabeth joined NexLaw Advocates as an intern and later got employed as a Legal Officer. She is involved in the registration of legal documents in different registries and in particular trademarks, advisory services, preparation of legal briefs for Advocates and other services offered by the law firm.

Ms. Tarimo is an Office Management Secretary at NexLaw Advocates. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the Learn IT Institute of Business & Technology.

She is responsible for front desk operation (reception) and management of office logistics and diaries in making sure that all calls and appointments are attended as scheduled
